Bernadette Jean BleichrothBernadette Bleichroth (nee Piontek) passed away peacefully on Feb. 3, 2025, in Fort Worth, TX, where she spent her last nine months. Having been born on March 19, 1950, in Chicago, she formerly resided in Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, and Hanover Park, IL. She is predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Bleichroth in 2013; her son, Chad Novak in 2023; sister, Imogene Ballard (nee Piontek); and parents, Erna Anna Langash and Edward Louis Piontek. Bernadette is survived by her son, Ron (Dawn), daughter, Dawn (Vince), and son, Kevin (Corinne). She is also survived by seven wonderful grandchildren; two sisters (Georgette and Veronica), and brother (Edward). Bernadette was proud of herself for working at a bank as a teenager, and she worked in the real estate industry for many years. She was known for her love for cats and White Sox baseball. Bernadette will be cremated and a memorial gathering will take place sometime soon in Chicago.
