MONTICELLO - Gloria J. Finson, 78, of Monticello passed away at 11:55 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024, at the Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello.Gloria was born Dec. 26, 1945, in Decatur, to Lyle W. and Thelma M. (Burk) Hastings. She married Wm. Hugh Finson on July 4, 2004, in Sullivan.Gloria is survived by her husband, Hugh Finson of Monticello. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and brothers Mike and David Hastings.Gloria worked as a title searcher. She was a master gardener, and her hobbies included gardening, reading, and working on jigsaw puzzles.A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024, at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home.
