Martha J. Hicks, 83, of White Heath, passed away at 12:20 p.m., Friday, January 10, 2025, at the Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello.Martha was born on January 9, 1942, in Monticello, IL. She was the daughter of Byron 'Hirsch' and Lucille (Perry) Hirschman. She married Dale Hicks on February 25, 1961, in Monticello, IL.Martha is survived by her husband, Dale Hicks of White Heath; daughter, Lorrie (Jeff) Wilson of Mansfield; sons, Todd (Dawn) Hicks of Paxton and Craig (Shannon) Hicks of Monticello; grandchildren, Jessica Wilson, Brooke Hicks, Cory Hicks, Derek Hicks, Macey Hicks; and great grandchildren, Bryson and Hendrix. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Sue Manuel and Judy Gulliford.Martha was a retired secretary from the University of Illinois and previously worked at General Cable and Pepsin.
