Warren Donald Taylor, 100, son of Jacob "J.D." and Ina (Shinneman) Taylor, was born on March 24, 1924, at home in rural Hammond and peacefully passed into eternal life on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at his home in Monticello.Warren married Helen "Eileen" Snoke on November 15, 1952, in Decatur, who passed away on October 17, 2022. Warren was a lifelong farmer in the Cerro Gordo and Hammond areas for over 50 years. After retiring from farming, they made their home in Monticello, IL.Warren was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church, Piatt County Farm Bureau, Piatt County Drainage Ditch Commissioner, and was a Lifelong Master Mason and Shriner. Warren loved following Fighting Illini Sports and was an avid fan. Warren loved sitting outside and garnered the nickname "Wavin' Warren" from some of his neighbors. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.Warren leaves behind his daughter, Cindy (Jim) Fay of Edgewat
