MONTICELLO - Thelma Ruthine Cloud, 92, died of natural causes on Tuesday (Jan. 14, 2025) at Jefferson Nursing Home, Lee's Summit, Mo.She was born Nov. 26, 1932, in Randoph, Ky., the daughter of Orville and Ruie Sims.Ruthine attended John Greer High School in Hoopeston, where she met her future husband, Russell L. Cloud. They were married in Summer Shade, Ky., in December 1949 and were together until his death in 2012.They lived in Hoopeston after his graduation from Southern Illinois University and following his deployment in Korea while in the Army. They moved to Monticello in 1968, where Ruthine was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church and Kirby Hospital Auxiliary.In addition to her parents, Ruthine was predeceased by her husband, Russell.She is survived by a son, Mark and wife Linda of Greenwood, Mo.; two grandchildren, Matt (Isabelle) Cloud of Santa Monica, Calif., and Amy (Daniel) Patterson of Greenwood; one great-grandson, Declan Patterson of Greenwood; her sister,
